In 1943 in Schio (VI) was born Mario Converio, where he lives and create his art. In the small town north of Vicenza in Italy, he discovered and incite the aptitude and his talent for artistic production through the shaping the iron. Since he was young he develops his vocational training that bring him to experiment with clay, the wood carving and stone working, with a strong artistic taste. Through exhibitions and symposiums his art is appreciated and recognized in all over the world. In the 2009 he won the first prize for the innovation at the international exhibition of wrought iron, and in 2012 thanks to his sculpture “Ade and Persefone” he has the honor of the first prize for modern section at the International Exhibition of metalworking in Czech Republic.
